Spaghetti Squash When To Pick

I’m wondering when is the best time to pick spaghetti squash. I’ve heard that it’s best to pick the squash when it’s still light green and the skin is hard. I’ve also heard that the squash should be left on the vine until the skin turns yellow and the stem starts to dry out. I’m not sure which is the best method and I would love to hear from others who have experience with picking spaghetti squash. What have you found to be the best time to pick the squash? Is there any other advice you can provide? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
